Men's Health University was designed to educate men and their families on the importance of taking charge of their own health.
On average, life expectancy of men in the United States is five years lower than women. Men have higher death rates for 9 of the 10 leading causes of death. Many men are resistant to seek regular preventive care and often ignore symptoms and delay seeking medical attention when ill or in pain. A high percentage of men have only limited contact with physicians and the health care system. These poor health habits take their toll—beginning at early ages and rising significantly as men age.
That’s why INTEGRIS Health has developed Men’s Health University.
Men-U was created in 2004 and offers a series of events that take place throughout the year, designed to educate men and their families on the importance of taking charge of their own health.
