Brain Cancer

Brain tumors account for one in every 100 cancers diagnosed annually.

Doctors assured them that it was simply a winter bug. Unfortunately for the Gillon family, they couldn't have been more wrong. Graham and Cherie's whole world turned upside down when they found out their two-year-old daughter had a brain tumor. Lilly was diagnosed with ependymoma — a rare tumor with a 60 percent survival rate in children. The family traveled from their home in England to undergo proton therapy at INTEGRIS, one of only a select number of proton therapy centers in the world. Watch Lilly's full story below, and meet another set of patients from the U.K. To learn more about brain tumors, call 405-773-6400.
