The following guidelines will help you and your family prepare for your treatment plan so you receive the greatest benefit.
- Please bring a week’s worth of comfortable clothing labeled with your name. Loose-fitting clothing without buttons or zippers works best. Comfortable slacks with elastic waistbands are preferable. Bras with front fasteners and loose undergarments also provide more comfort. Comfortable shoes with good support and firm soles (slip-on or Velcro preferred) are encouraged. Pajamas, robes and slippers may also be brought from home. Each floor of the facility has a washer and dryer for your convenience.
- Personal hygiene articles such as combs, brushes, toothpaste, shaving equipment, shampoo, etc., should be brought from home. We will provide or suggest any adaptations or alterations that may be necessary for these kinds of items. Cosmetics and makeup may be brought as well.
- Corrective devices or equipment (even those you have not used recently) such as dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aids, etc., should be brought to the facility with you. Your equipment will be evaluated and adjusted as needed, and suggestions for new equipment will be made as necessary.
- Your days will begin early and will be filled with therapies. INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe staff is available 24 hours a day and will help you get ready for breakfast by 7:30 a.m. unless otherwise indicated by one of your therapists. Staff will also assist you each evening as you prepare for your next busy day.
- Due to some patients’ special diets, we ask that no food be brought to the facility unless this has been cleared with our staff.
If you have questions before or during your stay, please do not hesitate to ask. We know that no atmosphere is as comfortable as home, but we do want to help you feel as comfortable as possible throughout your stay with us.
