Liver Transplant Criteria

Refer a Patient

  • Acute liver failure
  • Liver cancer
  • Non-cirrhotic portal hypertension
  • Hepatology including abnormal liver enzymes, benign and/or malignant liver lesion and viral/autoimmune/metabolic disease
  • Cirrhosis with any decompensating event including ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, variceal bleeding, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and jaundice.

Early Referral Liver Transplant Conditions

  • Abnormal liver function tests
  • Ascites
  • Liver mass
  • Portal hypertension
  • Encephalopathy
  • Jaundice

Relative Contraindications to Liver Transplant

  • Inability to abstain from drugs/alcohol
  • Inability to cooperate or comply with medical therapy
  • Absence of a consistent or reliable social support system
