Albert Hicks III, M.D., MPH, is a board-certified advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist with INTEGRIS Health Advanced Cardiopulmonary Care.

He has extensive experience in both clinical care and academic medicine. Dr. Hicks serves as the director of advanced cardiopulmonary care and oversees programs in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, advanced lung disease, and heart and lung transplantation.

Dr. Hicks graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he served as assistant professor of medicine and section chief of heart failure and cardiac transplant. He also practiced at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, where he oversaw heart and lung transplantation as co-director of thoracic transplant.

Previously, he served as medical director of cardiac transplantation at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas, and as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Temple University and completed fellowships in cardiology and advanced heart failure/transplant at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
