Allison Foster, APRN-CNP, is a family medicine nurse practitioner with INTEGRIS Health Woodward.
Allison grew up in rural NW Oklahoma between Okeene and Fairview, so Woodward is not too far from home. Growing up she knew she had a passion for caring because she wanted to take all the bottle calves and sick animals home from her grandfather’s farm. Her first year of college she finally gave into the healthcare calling and started working at her hometown hospital on the weekends. She has been a part of the healthcare field ever since.
As an RN she worked in ER, Cath lab and ICU. The biggest push for her to return to school was her infertility struggles as well as wanting to make a bigger difference in healthcare. She was proudly able to carry my 3-week-old daughter across the stage to accept her graduate degree. Her greatest supporter has been her husband, Chad. They have been married for 12 years and have two children, Alexis and Colt. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her family.
"I feel honored to be a medical provider, every day I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of patients. Working in the medical field for several years has taught me that every generous and selfless act, no matter how big or small, can make a significant impact on someone’s life. I understand the importance of individualized care and patient engagement. Successful healthcare is the result of patients feeling cared for and heard."
