Arslan Ahmad, M.D.

For Dr. Ahmad, the decision to pursue a career in medicine came from his mother, when a misdiagnosis led to years of suffering for her, formulating a strong passion and enthusiasm to achieve excellence in medicine.

After receiving his medication education from the Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, he worked as a lecturer in the Lahore Medical and Dental college, honing the communication skills unique to his practice. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Abington-Jefferson Health, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ahmad stayed at the hospital as a fourth-year chief resident acquiring leadership skills in medicine.

After his residency, he completed fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, Medical Center and Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine training at University of South Florida. During his training, Dr. Ahmad was awarded Lana K. Lehman award for excellence in ambulatory medicine. During his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship, he was awarded outstanding teaching fellow of the year award. In addition, he was also inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha, Honor Medical society and has been a member since 2024.

Dr. Ahmad’s clinical interest in advanced pulmonary diseases stems from the complicated and unforgiving nature of these diseases and his passion to help his fellow humans. For him treating Advance lung diseases is incomplete without transplant pulmonology as many of these conditions ultimately need lung transplant.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ahmad enjoys exploring the unseen beauty of America with his family in form of long drives.
