Cameron Ghafil, M.D., is a board-certified trauma surgeon at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City before completing a general surgery residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He then completed a fellowship in Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System in Florida.
"I'm most passionate about caring for patients during their most critical moments, whether they've experienced a traumatic injury or need emergency surgery. My role is to help stabilize them early, guide them safely through that initial period, and make sure there's a clear plan for what comes next. One of the things I value most about acute care surgery is that I get to care for everyone, regardless of their age, background or circumstances. Patients don't choose when they'll need emergency care, so I focus on being there for whoever needs me in that moment."
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ghafil enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants and cuisines, cooking, and staying active. He also values spending time with family and maintaining a healthy balance between his professional and personal life.
