CAPLE A. SPENCE, M.D., MBA, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on Long Island, Dr. Spence attended New York University (NYU) as an undergraduate, where he studied psychobiology, graduating in 1991. He then moved uptown to attend medical school at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Being inspired by tremendous neurosurgical leaders during his medical school experience, Dr. Spence went on to neurosurgical residency training at The George Washington School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery. Throughout his residency training, he was exposed to all aspects of neurosurgery and he developed a deep interest in spinal surgery, leading him to a complex reconstructive spinal surgery fellowship at the University of South Florida at Tampa General.
“My patients can expect an in-depth discussion of what their neurosurgical issues are and a developed plan to approach those issues in a multidisciplinary way.”
Dr. Spence is from New York but has been living in Oklahoma since 2008 with his wife and two sons. When he has time, he enjoys playing golf, watching the latest movies, playing chess and catching up on books.
