Jeffrey Chad Johnson, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a cardiothoracic surgeon with INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Johnson joins INTEGRIS Health Heart Hospital bringing a wide breadth of education and training, including active military service with the United States Navy.
He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, along with post-graduate degrees in Cancer Biology and Surgical Science and Practice. Dr. Johnson went on to complete his general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Johnson was an active duty member of the United States Navy and completed 10 deployments during his service. He served as the Ship’s Surgeon for the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN69) and with the Joint Medical Unit of the Joint Special Operations Command. During his military service, he was a Military Clinical Associate at Duke University Medical Center, Associate Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Sentara Heart Hospital, and a staff surgeon at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA.
Dr. Johnson has earned multiple academic and leadership appointments throughout his training including Chairman, Task Force for Military Service for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Specialty Leader for Cardiothoracic Surgery for the U.S. Navy, Assistant Professor Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and past Department Head for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Portsmouth, VA.
