Daniel Freno, M.D., is a cardiothoracic surgeon at INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians in Oklahoma City.
He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery training at the University of South Alabama and his cardiothoracic fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Freno’s specialty is cardiac and thoracic surgery, with treatment of diseases in the chest, heart, and lungs. He has experience with heart transplantation, coronary artery disease, disorders of the heart valves, heart failure, lung transplantation, lung cancer and emphysema.
Dr. Freno was trained on and performs robotic thoracic surgery for the treatment of diaphragm paralysis and tumors of the chest including anatomic lung resection for lung cancer. He also offers minimally invasive valve repair or replacement, when appropriate, in addition to a variety of conventional cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
Dr. Freno has publications in numerous surgical journals and multiple podium presentations from national and international meetings.
