Ellie Shumate, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in abdominal transplant surgery at INTEGRIS Baptist Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute.
Shumate grew up in Edmond, Okla. and went on to earn both her bachelor's degree and her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Oklahoma City University.
She developed a strong interest in surgery during her training, which led her to pursue a career in transplant surgery, where she is able to help patients through some of the most complex and life-changing moments in their care.
Shumate is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and enjoys building relationships with the patients and families she works with throughout their transplant journey.
