Idayat Moyeni Brimah, M.D., MPH, is a dedicated pulmonary critical care physician committed to providing comprehensive care to patients with pulmonary diseases.
She earned her degrees in medicine and surgery from the University of Ilorin, College of Health and Sciences in Nigeria. She completed her internal medicine residency at Harlem Hospital in New York City and her pulmonary critical care fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside/West in New York City. Dr. Brimah’s clinical interests focus particularly on pulmonary diseases that disproportionately affect those with low socioeconomic status, such as asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease and lung cancer. She understands the importance of personalized treatment plans to manage these conditions effectively.
Her research interests center on the impact of health care disparities on pulmonary disease. She recognizes that the practice of medicine is a calling to serve others and practices this philosophy by showing her patients empathy, compassion and dedication. Dr. Brimah is committed to providing personalized, patient-centered care.
