Isam Albaba, M.D.

Isam Albaba, M.D., is a physician with INTEGRIS Health Advanced Cardiopulmonary Care.

Dr. Albaba brings specialized expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine, advanced lung disease and lung transplantation. He completed the lung transplant fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he also completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship.

He earned his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology and completed his internal medicine residency at Albany Medical Center, where he served as both PGY 3 and PGY 4 chief resident. During his residency, he led impactful, educational mentorship and quality improvement programs, including a structured fellowship mentorship initiative, procedural training curricula and simulation-based emergency response workshops.

Dr. Albaba developed a strong research portfolio with publications in leading journals such as Respiratory Medicine, Heart & Lung, The American Journal of Medical Sciences and Cureus. His research focused on pleural disease, sarcoidosis, COVID-19 outcomes, pulmonary hypertension, cardiopulmonary ultrasonography and biomarker development. He also contributed to several multicenter prospective studies.

He presented at major national and international conferences, including the American Thoracic Society and CHEST, and delivered institutional lectures on advanced pulmonary topics such as CAR T–related toxicities, airway disease in sarcoidosis, tracheostomy decannulation readiness and vasodilator therapy in Group 3 pulmonary hypertension.

A dedicated educator, Dr. Albaba taught learners across multiple levels of training and contributed to pulmonary education at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. His commitment to mentorship and service earned him the USA Mentorship Award and the VA Certificate of Commitment.
