Khawaja Hassan Akhtar, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist at the INTEGRIS Health Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, specializing in minimally invasive treatment of complex cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Akhtar completed his training in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), where he was selected to serve as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He also completed his internal medicine residency at OUHSC, where he was named the Best Graduating Resident.
He earned his medical degree with top honors from King Edward Medical University, and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association.
