Dr. Mihu is a board-certified Infectious Diseases and Critical Care Medicine physician who specializes in caring for complex cardiovascular patients including heart and lung transplant recipients, LVAD and patients requiring ECMO.
He has a special interest in ECMO retrieval and shares a goal to expand the ECMO retrieval program at Integris Baptist Medical Center to reach more patients with this potentially life-saving intervention at hospitals that do not have ECMO capability.
Dr Mihu’s research focuses on the safety and quality of ECMO transport and retrieval systems, and outcomes in patients requiring VA ECMO. His work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
