Neil Crittenden, M.D., is board-certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine and was born and raised in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Crittenden has advanced training in colonoscopy and endoscopic mucosal resection of colon polyps. His specialties include colon cancer risk assessment and prevention, diagnosing and treating indigestion, swallowing difficulty, heart burn, acid reflux, bloating, abdominal pain, Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, inherited genetic cancer syndromes, liver disease including cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis B and C viral infections.
After attending medical school at the University of Oklahoma, he completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Louisville. While at the University of Louisville he developed advanced skills in treating patients with intestinal, liver and nutritional disorders. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on the treatment of liver disease, including alcohol hepatitis and hepatitis C.
