Pranathi Lingam, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in treating a wide range of medical dermatology conditions in patients of all ages.
She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). Dr. Lingam is a recipient of the National Psoriasis Foundation research grant and studied new treatments for psoriasis at Northwestern Medicine. Before joining Spectrum Dermatology, she was a staff physician at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in the diagnosis & treatment of skin cancers.
Dr. Lingam grew up in Ohio and graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After college, she was awarded a global health scholarship through the American Medical Student Association. She worked with doctors and community health workers in India before starting medical school. She received her medical degree from UAB School of Medicine in 2009 and subsequently completed an internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Outside of dermatology, Dr. Lingam enjoys reading, nature, travel and exploring national parks with her husband, a physician in Oklahoma City.
