Ron Kreger, M.D. was born in our hospital! He is a graduate of Tonkawa High School, Northern Oklahoma College, University of Central Oklahoma and University of Oklahoma Medical School (1971). He completed the OU OBGYN residence program in 1975. He comes from a family of physicians as his dad and uncle practiced medicine in Tonkawa.
Dr. Kreger currently serves as the physician advisor at our hospital and assists on OBGYN surgeries. He is married and has three children and six grandchildren.
His leisure activities include raising 70 farm cattle and just very much enjoys coming to the hospital. Dr. Kreger’s service to healthcare is extensive, including serving as Chairman of the Quality Improvement Committee, serving as Chief of Staff and Chief of OBGYN several times, and on the Oklahoma State Medical Association Board for 12 years, among many other roles.
Other community involvement includes serving as Chairman of his Church Board First Christian Church a couple of years ago.
When asked about his commitment to our hospital, he stated, “I got a lot of experience as far as knowing the community and employees. I care about the employees and our hospital to be the best hospital of its size in the state.”
Dr. Kreger is approaching 50 years of service as a physician!
