Tammy Dexter, APRN is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), licensed through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and the State of Oklahoma. She received her RN (Registered Nurse degree) in 2000 and worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse until graduating from the University of Cincinnati with her master's degree in Nurse Midwifery in 2009.
Tammy sees each patient and delivery as special and unique, striving to provide quality care to each individual. Her philosophy is that pregnancy is a normal process and the human body is amazing. She enjoys working in a collaborative practice that gives women the best of both worlds - allowing the woman and her body to do what it is designed to do with minimal intervention while having access to immediate medical intervention and care should the circumstances arise.

Tammy joined our team in 2018. After 9 years of commuting from Tulsa to Tahlequah for work, the move to Ponca City was a leap of faith but, one that she is thoroughly happy with. In her free time, Tammy enjoys gardening and spending time with family.
