Screening Mammograms

Getting a screening mammogram is personal, and at INTEGRIS Health, screening mammograms are available at 10 convenient INTEGRIS Health locations, with some evening and Saturday appointments available. You'll never have to sacrifice your schedule for a screening mammogram.

Screening mammograms are part of annual/routine well woman exams and follow these national guidelines:

  • Patients 40 years of age or older, unless clinically determined to be at high-risk for developing breast cancer
  • Patients have no breast changes or new concerns
  • Patients are established with a primary care provider to manage follow-up care

If you meet screening criteria, we look forward to seeing you soon.

If you notice any breast changes or have any new concerns, please contact your physician. You will need a screening mammogram and possibly breast ultrasound, which require physician order.

If you have any questions or do not meet screening criteria, please contact your physician or establish care with one of our INTEGRIS Health PCP’s if you do not have a physician.

A Strong Case for Screening

Around 300,000 new breast cancer cases may be diagnosed this year, but 90% are treatable if caught early.

At INTEGRIS Health, we encourage annual screening mammograms for those over 40 and provide cutting-edge breast imaging technology. This reduces false positives and detects over 40% more invasive cancers at earlier, treatable stages.

The INTEGRIS Health Difference

Our expertise ensures a comfortable environment for this essential exam. From mammograms to cancer treatment, reconstructive surgery and support groups, INTEGRIS Health is here for you.

INTEGRIS Health Offers 3D Mammography

INTEGRIS Health Offers 3D Mammography

3D mammography is an innovative tool for early breast cancer detection, used alongside traditional 2D mammograms. During the 3D exam, the X-ray arm moves in an arc over the breast, capturing multiple images. A computer then creates a 3D image in one-millimeter slices, offering enhanced visibility for radiologists.

This detailed view allows for a better understanding of breast tissue, reducing the need for follow-up imaging. Unlike conventional mammography, which presents a flat image, 3D mammography minimizes tissue overlap, preventing normal tissue from appearing abnormal. This method improves cancer detection and reduces the likelihood of needing additional imaging.

What Is a Diagnostic Mammogram?

When it comes to breast cancer screenings, the word “mammogram” is what most people associate with the testing that plays a key role in diagnosing cancer. But some people may not know there are two types of mammograms – screening mammograms and diagnostic mammograms.
