PYXIS machines are installed at each patient care area to dispense patient medication without the attention of a pharmacist. Pyxis MedStations are the leading automated dispensing system supporting decentralized medication management. With a virtually paperless environment, PYXIS computers allow nursing staff to look in patient's' charts for prescribed medication and the PYXIS machine will dispense only those medications prescribed by the physician. PYXIS will also document the time and dosage of medication dispensed electronically to the patient's' chart.
Barcode scanning to help ensure accurate medication dispensing prevents loading of the wrong medication and active alerts provide an added safety precaution.
With 10 full-service INTEGRIS Health pharmacy locations across the Oklahoma City, Edmond, Yukon, Norman, Enid and Grove areas, there’s always a location nearby.
