Hundreds of nurses throughout the state were nominated by their patients, peers and administrators in 18 different categories. A special committee made up of distinguished nurses honored for their own achievement and leadership, reviewed blinded nominations to select the finalists.

In addition to the March of Dimes awards, Lisa Rother, the System Administrative Director of Clinical Education and Professional Development at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center, will receive the prestigious Excellence in Nursing honor from the Oklahoma Nurses Association (ONA) later this week.
The accolade acknowledges the ONA member who has developed an innovative, unique and creative approach utilizing nursing theory, knowledge and skills. This person is admired by their peers as a role model of consistently high quality nursing practice and as someone who enhances the overall image of professional nursing.
