INTEGRIS Southwest Women’s Center was recently recognized by the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program as a “National Certified Silver Safe Sleep Leader” for their commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep.

They are one of the first hospitals in Oklahoma to receive this title. INTEGRIS Health Edmond and INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center received similar recognitions earlier this month.

INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center has achieved the certification level of Silver Safe Sleep Leader, through their commitment to reduce infant sleep-related deaths by establishing a hospital infant safe sleep policy and modeling infant safe sleep through the hospital.

The National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program was created by Cribs for Kids®, a Pittsburgh-based organization dedicated to preventing infant, sleep-related deaths due to accidental suffocation. In addition to being Cribs for Kids® partners, INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center Women’s Center was recognized for following the safe sleep guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and providing training programs for parents, staff and the community.
