Jeffrey Cruzan, M.D., the President of the INTEGRIS Medical Group tells us places fueling the pandemic in Oklahoma.

Learn About COVID-19

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Common Coronavirus Questions: Where are Oklahomans most likely to catch COVID-19?

The Oklahoma State Department of Health recently issued a list of the top five places COVID-19 is currently being spread throughout the state. The list is called the “Serious Five” and includes workplaces, daycare settings, church activities, restaurants and manufacturing/warehouses.

Today’s question:
Where are Oklahomans most likely to catch COVID-19?

But as Jeffrey Cruzan, M.D., the President of the INTEGRIS Medical Group tells us - those are not the ONLY places fueling the pandemic. They are in addition to the original “Serious Seven”.

We urge all Oklahomans to practice the recommended CDC guidelines: Wear a mask when in public, social distance from others, stay home when you are sick, wash your hands and disinfect commonly touched surfaces frequently. We need EVERYONE to routinely follow these social interventions. That is the only way we are going to beat this virus and return to the life we once knew.

An INTEGRIS Chaplain's Life During COVID-19

While INTEGRIS caregivers are bravely serving on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic, INTEGRIS Pastoral Care provides spiritual support for patients, their families and hospital staff. During this difficult time, Chaplain Warfield and his team have been dedicated to providing spiritual guidance to the community.

Why Is Wearing a Mask So Important?

INTEGRIS Health supports three social interventions that have proven to slow the spread of the virus. These include social distancing, hand hygiene and community masking. If local government officials were to issue mask mandates, we would support the effort.
