While much of our efforts are understandably focused on COVID-19, we stand ready for any non-COVID needs the community may have as well.
While much of our efforts are understandably focused on COVID-19, we stand ready for any non-COVID needs the community may have as well. We do not want people to neglect their health during this unprecedented time.
We are still treating patients with heart disease, stroke, cancer and other chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension - none of which can be ignored.
That being said, we have instituted several innovative ways to care for patients while also keeping them safe from the coronavirus.
To help you receive care while sheltering in place, we have ramped up our Telehealth and Virtual Visit capabilities for primary care physicians and specialists.
If you need to see a physician in-person or need to physically come to one of our facilities for a critical test, treatment or procedure - we have made adaptations for that as well.
In line with Governor Stitt’s recent announcement removing his executive order on
elective surgical procedures we are currently evaluating several different
Return to Operation strategies. We will most likely implement a phased approach to increasing services across our hospitals and clinics.
In our first phase, we are resuming outpatient elective imaging procedures on Monday, April 20.
These would consist of low-risk diagnostics such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, echocardiography, mammography, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities that do not require use of personal protective equipment beyond the implemented system-wide solution (face-shields and patient masks). We feel our new registration processes, patient screening algorithms, environmental safety practices, and widespread use of face shields and patient masking, make it safe for us to once again offer these services.
While we are excited the executive order is being lifted we still need to be judicious with our limited inventory of PPE. We must resume operations intelligently and in a manner that protects patients, practitioners and caregivers.
