Ankur Rughani, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician and board-eligible pediatric endocrinologist in Oklahoma City.
He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, where he also completed his residency in general pediatrics and his fellowship in pediatric endocrinology.
Rughani loves getting to know his patients and their families and helping children with chronic conditions lead a better life. Rughani is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, the Endocrine Society, the Oklahoma State Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
His areas of interest include Type 1 and 2 diabetes, thyroid disorders, short stature, adrenal disorders, pituitary hormone disorders and precocious or delayed puberty.
"I have watched many children come in very sick just prior to diagnosis, and shortly after they start treatment, they go on to live very fulfilling and enriched lives," says Rughani. "To me there's just about nothing better than to help restore a child's health, allowing him or her to continue to go to school, play and do all the things children love to do."
