Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Oklahoma. INTEGRIS Health has long been known as Oklahoma’s leader in caring for the most complicated medical needs. Recognizing the need for state-of-the-art intensive medicine, INTEGRIS Health is committed to expanding heart and ICU services, and we are excited to officially break ground on a $200 million project at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center.

“This new Heart and ICU Hospital at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center will ensure our community has access to the best, leading-edge therapies available anywhere in the world,” says Timothy Pehrson, INTEGRIS Health president and chief executive officer.

The expansion includes a new 209,000 square foot building which will include 64 ICU beds, multiple cardiac catherization labs, cardiovascular operating rooms, hybrid operating rooms, electrophysiology heart labs, and convenient cardiac diagnostic testing areas. The new space is designed with the patient in mind, making navigating the hospital and clinics as easy as it has been in one convenient location. 

INTEGRIS Health is partnering with the community on this expansion, kicking off a capital campaign. “Much like our mission, we wish to partner with passionate community members to contribute in the form of private philanthropy,” says Skip Leonard, vice president, INTEGRIS Health Foundation. “We hope this will be a true community-driven grassroots initiative to improve the health and longevity of Oklahomans.”
