Jahdae Barron, the 2024 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award winner and standout cornerback from the University of Texas, made a special visit to Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center.

Jahdae Barron, the 2024 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award winner and standout cornerback from the University of Texas, made a special visit to Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center today.
During his visit, Barron toured the facility, met with patients and signed autographs for staff and visitors. He was incredibly kind and gracious, taking the time to uplift and encourage those recovering from injuries or illness. His presence left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Also in attendance, were past recipients, including Trey Taylor, the 2023 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award winner from the United States Air Force Academy. They joined Barron in meeting patients and staff, continuing the legacy of past Thorpe Award recipients engaging with the community.
The Jim Thorpe Award, presented annually to the nation's top defensive back in college football, recognizes exceptional performance on the field, athletic ability and character. Barron joins a prestigious list of past winners who have made significant contributions to the game.
Paycom and the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame will honor Barron at the 39th Anniversary of the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Banquet, taking place tonight at 6 p.m. in Oklahoma City.
