In recognition of National Women’s Physician Day on Monday, Feb. 3, INTEGRIS Health is proud to celebrate the remarkable contributions of women in the medical profession. This day honors the pioneering spirit of Elizabeth Blackwell, M.D., the first woman to earn a medical degree in the United States, as well as the invaluable work of female physicians who continue to break barriers and inspire future generations.
"INTEGRIS Health is proud to support and celebrate the achievements of our outstanding female physicians," said Chelsey Gilbertson, D.O., vice president and chief medical officer at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, a trailblazing female physician in her own right. "Dr. Celii, Dr. Shah and Dr. Mack exemplify the skill, dedication and compassion that drive our mission to provide exceptional medical care to our communities. Their leadership and expertise inspire us all and demonstrate the crucial roles women continue to play in advancing health care.”
INTEGRIS Health is privileged to spotlight three exemplary female physicians: Amanda Celii, M.D.; Anushi Shah, M.D.; and Aleicia Mack, D.O.

Dr. Celii, serving as the trauma medical director at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, leads her team with unwavering commitment and expertise. Double board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, her role is critical in ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during acute medical emergencies. Under Dr. Celii's leadership, the trauma team continuously innovates and enhances protocols to improve patient outcomes.
"Each day in trauma care brings unique challenges that require quick thinking and collaboration," said Dr. Celii. "As a female leader in this field, I am committed to not only providing the best possible care for our patients but also mentoring the next generation of women physicians to thrive in high-stakes medical environments."
Dr. Shah is a hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) and transplant surgeon at INTEGRIS Health Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute in Oklahoma City whose compassionate care and state of the art surgical skills are transforming the lives of our patients. Her work in organ transplantation not only saves lives but also advances the field through her minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Shah's achievements and years of dedication are a testament to the impact women can have in the surgical realm.
"Transplant surgery is not just about extending life but also enhancing the quality of life for our patients," said Dr. Shah. "As a woman in this demanding specialty, I am passionate about paving the way for future female surgeons and showing that with dedication and compassion, we can achieve excellence and innovation in any field of medicine."
Dr. Mack, a distinguished cardiologist with the INTEGRIS Health Heart Hospital, brings expertise and compassionate care to the field of cardiology. Her work in diagnosing and treating complex heart conditions has been instrumental in enhancing patient outcomes and advancing cardiovascular health. Dr. Mack’s passion for patient education and preventive care exemplifies the vital contributions of women in the intricacies of cardiac medicine.
"Working in cardiology allows me to impact patients' lives in significant ways, addressing both physical and emotional aspects of heart health," said Dr. Mack. "As a woman in this field, I am committed to advocating for more inclusive perspectives in cardiac care and inspiring young women to pursue careers in medicine where their voices and contributions can shape the future."
