This Valentine’s Day we bring you a different kind of love story. Once a stray with an uncertain future, Emmy found herself in a shelter, waiting for a home. Little did she know, she wasn't just going to be adopted. She was about to find her true purpose.

That purpose began when Tanya, a nursing supervisor at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center Emergency Department, saw Emmy's potential and knew she could make a difference.

Now, Emmy spends her days as a therapy dog at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center, bringing comfort, hope and healing to those who need it most.

Whether she's calming a scared child, offering a moment of peace to our hardworking caregivers or simply being there with her gentle, knowing eyes, Emmy has a way of making the world feel a little lighter.

Watch Emmy's journey from shelter pup to emergency department hero and see how she is changing lives one paw at a time. 🐾
