"I chose my field of medicine because of the immediate impact I could make in critical moments. Being there for patients on what is often the worst day of their lives is both a responsibility and a privilege. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a patient recover and regain their function," says Shun.
Shun earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. He completed his general surgery residency and a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Detroit Medical Center in conjunction with Wayne State University.
His areas of interest include trauma care, ECMO, thoracic injuries and patient education.
