While many Oklahomans were enjoying the Labor Day holiday at the lake, at the mall or just doing honey-dos around the house… some mommas were “laboring” of a different kind.
Throughout the INTEGRIS Health system, we celebrated the birth of 13 babies this Labor Day. “These moms definitely took Labor Day literally this year,” jokes Jill Hughes, the director of Women’s and Children’s Clinical Programs at INTEGRIS Health. “But I can tell you it was all worth it the second they got to meet their baby face to face for the first time.”
“All births are special,” she adds. “But when you deliver on a holiday, it seems like everyone is celebrating your baby’s birth for years to come - and there’s just something exciting about that.”
