The INTEGRIS Health Cancer Institute held its 39th annual National Cancer Survivors Day celebration this weekend at Scissortail Park. There were over 300 people in attendance.

Activities included therapy dogs, a kids’ zone with arts and crafts, face painting and a magician, chair massages and live entertainment. But the highlight of the event was recognizing the bravery of all cancer survivors and their families.

Bilal Ahmad, M.D., is a hematologist and oncologist with INTEGRIS Health Cancer Institute Southwest. "This important event brings awareness to the community and celebrates patients and families who are living with cancer.” He adds, “We appreciate everybody who has been a part of this event - the patients, the families and the many volunteers who make this special celebration possible each and every year."

The event honors their courage and resilience by offering inspiration to those newly diagnosed and support to patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
