In April, the INTEGRIS Health Foundation launched its 15th annual giving campaign for INTEGRIS Health caregivers across Oklahoma. The YOU&I Annual Giving Campaign provides caregivers with an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in health care for patients, families and caregivers alike.
This year’s campaign theme was Spark – highlighting how one act of generosity can spark life-changing impact. During the 26-day campaign, more than 3,000 caregivers contributed more than $640,000 to fund 21 projects.
Thanks to INTEGRIS Health Volunteer Auxiliaries representing eight INTEGRIS Health hospitals, many caregivers doubled their impact through matching gifts for select projects totaling $190,000. Altogether, caregivers and volunteers raised over $830,000.
The YOU&I Annual Giving Campaign is an employee-led fundraising initiative. All 21 projects are created and guided by fund champions who work in clinical settings and have detailed knowledge of emerging needs within their areas of care. Projects range from upgrading pediatric play spaces for children with family members receiving inpatient care to funding cold cap therapy to reduce hair loss in cancer patients. Other projects include patient assistance funds, lactation room enhancements for working parents who are nursing, and emergency department waiting room improvements. Each caregiver may choose up to two projects to support with their donation.
The INTEGRIS Health Foundation asks caregivers to consider donating $5 per pay period for one year – a challenge that the majority of caregivers who donate accept. Still other caregivers opt to double and triple that amount. This year’s campaign saw record participation among INTEGRIS Health executives, with 94% giving an average of over $1,100.
“The YOU&I Annual Giving Campaign is critical to the work we do at the INTEGRIS Health Foundation,” shared Ashley Wilson, the Foundation’s president. “Our caregivers continue to demonstrate their passion to go above and beyond to improve the lives of their patients as well as their peers. We are constantly amazed by their generosity and the fact that they don’t just work here, they give here.”
The INTEGRIS Health Foundation projects that thousands of lives will be positively impacted by this year’s campaign contributions.
