Bakpo earned her medical degree from the University of Uyo College of Health Sciences in Nigeria and completed her internal medicine residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in The Bronx, New York.
She chose internal medicine because of her passion for solving complex medical problems while building lasting relationships with her patients. She values the opportunity to care for the whole person, coordinate care across healthcare needs and prevent disease through evidence-based medicine.
"I believe every patient deserves compassionate, attentive and collaborative care. I strive to listen carefully, answer questions thoroughly and make complex medical information easy to understand,” says Bakpo. “My goal is to create a welcoming environment where every patient feels seen, heard and supported at every visit."
