Your health care team consists of many professionals working together to make sure you receive very good care that is consistent with INTEGRIS Health’s high standards. You are the captain of your healthcare team, and we encourage you to be an active participant in your care by asking questions.
Room assignments are based upon admitting diagnosis and the bed availability at the time of your admission. Private and semi-private rooms are available. Medical insurance usually does not cover the full cost of a private room. If you are in a semi-private room and wish to be in a private, please tell your nurse. If there are problems with the other patient or family members in a semi-private room, please let your nursing staff know the details.
Hospital beds are electrically operated, and your nurse will show you how to work the controls. Bedrails are for your protection. They may be raised during the night or during the day if you are resting, recovering from surgery or taking certain medications.
A button to call your nurse or nursing assistant is located at your bedside. When you press the button, the nursing station is alerted that you need assistance, and a light will flash above your door in the hallway. A staff member will respond to your signal as soon as possible.
Telephones are provided in each room, except in the intensive care units. Local calls may be made at any time from the room by dialing 8 and the number. Long distance and toll calls can be made at any time by dialing 8, 0 and the number. Long distance calls cannot be charged to your room. You can charge a long distance or credit card call to your home number. Your family and friends can call your room at the telephone number posted in your room. Press “0” to call the hospital operator at any time for assistance.
Excessive noise in the hospital is sometimes difficult to control. We appreciate your understanding and working with us to maintain a low noise level for everyone. If there is a problem with the noise level in your surrounding area, notify your nursing staff.
When seeing a new physician at the hospital for a procedure or inpatient stay, you often have lots of questions and many things to think about. Keeping track of which medications you are taking is an important part of staying healthy. Please inform your health care provider and family members of the drug name, dosage, frequency and use of each medication you are taking.
Because we value your opinion, you will receive a confidential patient satisfaction survey in the mail about one week after your discharge from INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center. Please take time to complete the form and return it in the postage paid envelope provided. Your feedback will help us improve our services and reward our staff for their very good work. If you have any questions or concerns during your hospital stay, please call the VIP Hotline at 405-949-3000 or Patient Relations at 405-949-3180 for assistance.

Tobacco use of any kind including electronic devices (e.g., smoking, dipping, vapes, etc.) is not permitted anywhere on campus.
Due to the number of people with latex allergies, INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is now a limited latex environment. This restricts the use of seemingly harmless things you might not think of like latex balloons. Latex balloons are not allowed at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center.
