At INTEGRIS Miami Hospital, emergency care is provided by a dedicated staff of physicians and nurses 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Patient care and safety are of the utmost importance for all departments within the hospital, including our emergency medical services (EMS) department. Our EMS service provides coverage for Ottawa County including the city of Miami, North Miami and Afton.
Supporting INTEGRIS Miami Hospital are four ambulances equipped with advanced life support (ALS) units and Physio-Control LifePak 15 cardiac monitors, the most technologically innovative and dependable products on the market. These advanced monitors connect with LifeNet, the first web-based data network of its kind, offering emergency medical personnel and hospital teams tools to work together to help improve workflow so patients can receive treatment as quickly as possible.
INTEGRIS Miami also utilizes an advanced dispatch system, so when a caller dials 911 the dispatcher can coach him or her through their medical emergency until help arrives.
The purpose of LifeNet is to reduce time to treatment for patients in northeast Oklahoma who experience medical emergencies, including expedited information and quality care for INTEGRIS patients. LifeNet allows paramedics, physicians and nurses to focus on treatment decisions and patient care before the patient even reaches the hospital.
In addition to LifeNet, each INTEGRIS ambulance is equipped with CMAC® advanced airway video laryngoscope devices, a state-of-the-art technology allowing paramedics to easily insert a tube in the throat to see images in real-time. With automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) devices, portable ventilators with both continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP) options, the INTEGRIS EMS team prides itself on advanced and proactive treatment protocols for all types of medical and trauma events.
In addition to our ambulance fleet, INTEGRIS Health is equipped with a rapid response vehicle (RRV), and staffed by 21 paramedics and seven emergency medical technicians (EMTs). With highly trained and experienced paramedics on every run, INTEGRIS Health provides specialized treatment in the following areas:
The INTEGRIS Miami EMS staff has certification in: advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), advanced trauma life support (ATLS), basic life support (BLS), national incident management system (NIMS) 100, 200, 700 and 800 plus emergency vehicle driver’s training.

With 24-hour emergency care services, the Level 4 emergency department in Miami is staffed by board certified physicians when you need them most. Minimal wait times assure that our patients get immediate care when seconds count. Our physicians and staff are certified in adult and pediatric advance life support and trauma care.
Our ER also features a 12-bed emergency department, leading edge trauma bays and a decontamination bay, and our physicians have access to state-of-the art diagnostic imaging and other life-saving medical equipment.
Grand Lake residents do not have to travel elsewhere for emergency care; it is now just minutes away and close to home in a full service hospital.
Our ER provides real-time neurological assessment of patients presenting with stroke-like symptoms through virtual bedside consults via the TeleStroke program. A neurologist assists the ER physician in evaluating and treating potential acute stroke patients via live video feed. This telemedicine technology saves valuable time for the stroke patient.
