INTEGRIS Health Among the First to Offer EOSedge™ for Musculoskeletal Imaging in Oklahoma

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center Portland Avenue is the first in the state to use the EOSedge system in an outpatient setting available to all providers in the area. Previously, it was only available in an inpatient setting.

EOSedge is the leading technology in outcome-improving radiographic imaging and data-informed software solutions.

EOS® is globally recognized for its low-dose, full-body biplanar imaging platform and its cloud-based digital spine ecosystem. EOS technology informs the entire surgical process by capturing a calibrated, full-body image in a weight-bearing position, enabling precise measurement of anatomical angles and dimensions. The cutting-edge X-ray detection technology, low-dose radiation modulation, and open cabin design deliver high-resolution images that allow physicians to make well-informed diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans.

“The EOSedge system is a remarkable advancement in musculoskeletal imaging and it is our privilege to have this technology available to our surgeons and patients as well as for other physicians in the community,” says Chief Hospital Executive Josh Kemph. “This new system will enable us to obtain highly accurate patient data for informed clinical decision-making. We believe this signifies best-in-class care for us to offer EOSedge in Oklahoma.”

EOSedge substantially reduces radiation dose which minimizes the long-term impact to the patient. EOSedge Flex Dose™ technology modulates the radiation dose along the patient’s body, emitting less radiation along thinner parts of the patient and increasing along thicker parts of the patient. Additionally, the Micro Dose protocol further reduces the radiation dose, delivering the same amount of radiation received from simply living on Earth for one week.

“EOSedge represents an innovative breakthrough for musculoskeletal imaging, both in terms of spatial resolution and image contrast, all with a low radiation dose,” states Caple Spence, M.D., a board-certified neurosurgeon with INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center. “We believe EOSedge will offer significant benefits to improve the care of our patients requiring precise X-ray images to support diagnoses through post-surgical assessment.”
