INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center has earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), recognizing its commitment to high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accreditor that evaluates healthcare organizations against internationally recognized standards of quality and patient outcomes.

“This recognition underscores INTEGRIS Health’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services and advancing innovative approaches that help Oklahomans recover, rebuild and return to the activities that matter most to them,” says Tess Clemens, vice president of inpatient rehabilitation at INTEGRIS Health.

INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation is the only inpatient rehabilitation program in Oklahoma with general rehabilitation and three specialty program designations: adult inpatient rehabilitation, brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke.

CARF accreditation means that INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation has demonstrated excellence in areas such as:

  • Comprehensive care – offering a range of rehabilitation services tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Quality and safety – meeting rigorous standards to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Evidence-based practices – using the latest research and clinical guidelines to inform treatment strategies, particularly in stroke rehabilitation.
  • Patient satisfaction – focusing on positive outcomes and patient experience.

During the survey, CARF reviewers praised the program’s specialized therapies, innovative transition-to-home solutions, advanced technology, strong community partnerships and culture of continuous improvement.

“Earning CARF accreditation is a testament to the expertise, compassion and collaboration our team brings to every patient every day,” says Brent Tipton, M.D., medical director of INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation at Southwest Medical Center. “We are honored to be recognized for delivering rehabilitation services that meet the highest standards of quality while helping Oklahomans regain independence and achieve their best possible outcomes.”
