Hospitalists are doctors who focus on treating patients in the hospital. They work alongside your primary doctor to manage your hospital care. Your doctor shares key details with the hospitalist when you're admitted, and the hospitalist oversees your care, ensuring your doctor is updated on your condition and progress.
