  • Mobility Center—The Mobility Center at INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation uses technology to help you regain your ability to walk.
  • Lokomat ®—Robotic assisted walking therapy that uses computerized legs, harness, and treadmill. It promotes a natural walking pattern with multiple adjustments for pace and assistance level.
  • Ekso Skeleton with Variable Assistance—Robot-assisted walking therapy that allows wheelchair users to stand up and walk. The exoskeleton is a wearable bionic suit. You can walk with it on land (as opposed to Lokomat that is attached to treadmill).
  • Aquatics—The aquatic center at INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation uses the properties of water to enhance physical therapy treatments to help with walking and balance.
  • Bioness ®—A system that delivers low-level electrical stimulation to activate the nerves that controls the muscles in the ankle (leg device) or hand and forearm (arm device). The foot system helps someone who has foot drop to walk. The hand system helps someone with hand weakness to reach, grasp, open and close the hand.
  • Vital Stim ®—A system that delivers external electrical stimulation therapy to the throat muscles for the treatment of dysphagia (trouble swallowing).
  • Galileo ® Vibration System—alternating vibration system used in conjunction with other therapies to facilitate and enhance functional movement

Who Are The Members Of The Interdisciplinary Stroke Team?

A patient who has suffered a stroke can be admitted to INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation from another hospital, rehabilitation program or from home by a patient, physician or family referral. You and your caregiver(s) are the primary team members. We aim to individualize your treatment plan to work on what is important to you. Our interdisciplinary team members may include:

CARF Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, known as CARF, is the accrediting body for inpatient rehabilitation programs. INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation is one of only three inpatient rehabilitation facilities in Oklahoma accredited for its stroke specialty program.

This type of accreditation is granted only to organizations that show substantial fulfillment of the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality.
