We are Baby Friendly certified, which indicates staff is committed to offer a culture of encouragement towards breastfeeding and will support mothers to that end.
We have the privilege of caring for postpartum women and newborns. Working hand in hand with 4 West, Labor and Delivery, our care begins at birth. We are a "rooming in" floor, with emphasis on keeping mother and infant together.

We have the direct support of an IBCLC lactation department. Their extensive training is available on the floor and to families after discharge through appointments.
Orientation to 4E is with a one on one preceptor. You will also attend class specific to the care of our population. These include NRP, STABLE and BLS.
