INTEGRIS Health offers a 12-month administrative fellowship for emerging health care leaders.

About the Administrative Fellowship

INTEGRIS Health offers a 12-month administrative fellowship for emerging health care leaders. The fellowship provides the knowledge and skills necessary for effective leadership in a highly complex health care environment.

The rotation- and project-based fellowship is flexible, allowing individuals to mold the experience to fit their interests and career goals, while also helping the organization achieve its goals. Throughout the year, the fellow is exposed to the operations of an integrated health system with both large metropolitan hospitals, smaller rural facilities, specialty hospitals and many other community partnership facilities. This unique learning opportunity allows the fellow to obtain a view of health care operations from both a system and hospital perspective.

Under the supervision and mentorship of the health system’s President and CEO, fellows have unprecedented access to meetings, high-level leaders and a variety of learning opportunities. In addition to access, fellows have an active role with the system Executive Leadership Team, allowing them to participate in confidential discussions and strategic decision making.

Examples of opportunities during the fellowship at INTEGRIS Health include:

  • Exposure to clinical work, including observing clinical procedures and participating in physician and nurse rounds
  • Understanding of support areas through rotations in areas, such as environmental services, dietary, facilities and engineering services, supply chain, laboratory and public safety
  • Experience in management, finance, operations, strategy and marketing
  • Experience in the operations of a large medical group and a clinically integrated network
  • Participation in high-level meetings and involvement in special projects

Due the flexibility that is inherent with the fellowship, the position at INTEGRIS Health requires a highly motivated, independent and proactive individual, who is willing to be a strategic thought leader and active participant. Additionally, fellows must be able to deal with multiple high-priority situations at once in a calm and professional manner. Individuals should have strong a work ethic, outstanding relationship building skills and an ability to work with limited instruction in ambiguous situations.

To be considered for the fellowship, applicants are required to submit the following documents through NAFCAS:

  • Official Graduate School Transcript
  • Three Letters of Recommendation (ONE academic, ONE professional, and ONE other of choice)
  • Current Resume
  • Cover Letter (one-page maximum)
  • Personal Statement discussing the applicant’s interest in pursuing the administrative fellowship at INTEGRIS Health, their career goals, and the skills and experiences that will contribute to their success during the fellowship (one-page maximum)
